Somnath Temple, located in Prabhas Patan near Veraval in Gujarat, India, is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple holds immense religious significance and is believed to be the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The original temple was built thousands of years ago and has been reconstructed several times, most notably by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the 1950s.
